Your old tyres are responsibly disposed of or, if you’d rather you can take them away with you!
Wheel alignment is available to ensure correct tyre wear, so you get the most mileage from your new tyres.
If you ring us to order tyres, we’ll need to know the size you need. This is a set of numbers on the side of your tyre normally written along the lines of:
215/60R15
All three sets of numbers are important to make sure we can get you the right tyre size for your car.
ARE YOUR TYRES TIRED?
Worn tyres significantly affect the performance of your car. It will reduce the effectiveness of braking, steering, and acceleration, all of which are vital in staying safe. You are not insured when driving on illegal tyres. So, if you have a tread depth lower than 1.6mm you need new tyres now!
ARE YOUR TYRES LEGAL?
If you are caught driving with tyres below the legal minimum tread depth, you could be handed a bald tyre fine of up to £2,500 per tyre AND 3 points issued on your license for each tyre below the legal limit.
How do you know if your tyres are legal…. Take the 20p test!
If the outer band of the 20p is hidden by the tyre tread, you are ok. If it isn’t you are probably under the legal limit.
