The Start of Autumn – Can your battery start your vehicle?

Its Officially the Start of Autumn!

It was certainly a cold start this morning, which also marked the official start of Autumn!

Overnight we saw temperatures as low as 4 degrees Celsius!

As the nights are drawing in and we have lower temperatures, your car battery will take on extra demands.

Car batteries have a limited lifespan, typically 3 to 7 years. If your battery is old, it’s more likely to be failing.

Signs of a failing car battery include a slow or no engine crank, frequent jump-starts, dim lights, malfunctioning electrical accessories, the battery warning light on the dashboard.

A rapid clicking noise when you turn the key may suggest the battery isn’t providing enough power for the starter motor to engage.
